What are the types of medication AARx Medical Providers Prescribe?
Our providers can prescribe a variety of GLP-1s (glucagon-like peptide-1s) including Semaglutide and GLP-1 + GIP’s such as Tirzepatide. These are often referred to by their brand name, so you may have heard of these medications as Wegovy®, Ozempic®, or Mounjaro™. All these medications are clinically tested, stimulant-free, and non-habit forming. They work by addressing what is most important for weight loss according to biology and help lower the weight your body fights to stay at. GLP-1’s are naturally occurring hormones that send signals to your brain to decrease appetite, improve metabolism, and regulate your digestion. Our medical providers can also prescribe Phentermine, which requires an updated EKG to be prescribed this medication because of the stimulant effects.
